Blue Sky Gallery (www.blueskygallery.org) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to educating the public about photography through exhibitions, events and publications. At the $60 level or higher, members receive two wonderful photography books each year.
California Lawyers for the Arts (www.calawyersforthearts.org) offers legal advice at discounted rates to artists, and sponsors workshops for artists on a variety of topics such as contracts, copyright, and taxes in Northern California. Members can also sign up for Art House, a hotline detailing available studio space in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Center for Photographic Art (www.photography.org) produces exhibitions and publications. Based in Carmel, CA, membership benefits include their newsletter, and opportunities to submit work for review/exhibition.
Center for Photography at Woodstock (www.cpw.org) is "a home for contemporary photographers with programs in education, exhibition, publication, fellowships, and services that create access to professional workshops, nourishing responses, and new audiences."
Electric Works (www.sfelectricworks.com) is a printmaking workshop specializing in digital technology as well as a contemporary gallery and eclectic art store. Based in San Francisco, CA their team of technicians works with many artists including William Wiley, Raymond Saunders, Todd Hido and more. Mary Daniel Hobson worked with them to create the transparencies for her large scale Milagros and the prints in Evocations and Sanctuary.
Foto Forum (www.sfmoma.org/info/foto_forum.html) is a special membership group at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art which brings together arts professionals, dealers, collectors, artists and other photo enthusiasists. Members receive a biannual newsletter and invitations to exclusive events such as private walk throughs of exhibitions, visits to collectors' home, opportunities to travel to see photography and more. Dues are $500 year and support SFMOMAs acquisition of new photographs.
